About Agnes Botos

Agnes Botos is an independent REACH, GHS, ADR and environment- health and safety consultant based in Budapest (Hungary). She is also a REACH Only-Representative of non-EU manufacturers. She has a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and a 2-year post-graduate degree in Environmental Law. She is a part-time PhD student at the Central European University (CEU) in Budapest, where her dissertation topic is ”Interaction of REACH and TSCA reform”.

Since Agnes Botos started her own business, she supported more than 70 Hungarian and foreign companies to understand the REACH regulation and to complete the pre-registration on time. In 2010 she founded GHS-expert company which  deals with CLP classification, labeling and notification. Together with a specialist IT company she developed a user-friendly GHS- software solution.

This year, 2010, her most important task is to prepare registration dossier for EU and non-EU companies and classify substances according to the new CLP (GHS) regulation. She learned how to prepare a registration dossier with IUCLID 5 program in Brussels at REACHCentrum and has participated in the lead-registrant workshop organized by ECHA.

Prior to starting her own consultancy, Agnes Botos worked for 10 years as an Environmental Health and Safety engineer in the European Central EHS Department of General Electric C&I, both in Hungary and the United States. She participated in several REACH conferences and trainings in Brussels, and experienced first hand the difficulties of implementing REACH. She represented a multinational company and many smaller companies in various pre-SIEF discussions.

Hi Neha,

Thanks for commenting. There is a lot of CLP experience among some of our experts (which are all EU-based but working internationally). You can check out their profiles on the site and contact one or more for references using the individual contact forms on the profile pages. If this doesn’t suffice, let me know and I’ll see if I can help you further.

Kind regards, Joost

Dear Neha Jain,

I work as a GHS ( CLP in EU ) expert in Hungary in Budapest. We just prepared a CLP classification software which will be available from July. With the help of the software you can do the substance classification by yourself, or my company can do it instead of you as well. Beside the new classification the software will make automatically the label and the notification which is a regulatory requirement in EU by Jan 3rd 2011.
Please visit my homepage http://www.GHSexpert.com you can find there many useful information about CLP (GHS) and about our services and about the software. The software classification part works perfectly already, the notification to the authority part we still need to work and the invoicing part as well, so that is why in 3 weeks it will be available. If you need just 1 label or 1 classification the GHS (CLP) software will be able to handle it. It is web based tool, and very easy to handle.
If you sign up at my homepage to the webinar, than we will inform you when the software is 100% works in July.
