About chemSIX

The chemical substance information exchange – chemSIX – is a web portal designed to support companies implementing REACH & CLP. It provides companies smart project management tools to manage their projects and a cost effective channel to communicate relevant REACH information privately to each and all of their customers. Communication with customers is done using a “Shared Product Catalog”, a setup based on functional requirements proposed by trade organizations CEFIC, FECC and DUCC.

Joost Dekker - Managing Director of chemSIXDevelopment, operation and maintenance is done by chemSIX b.v., an independent,  privately held, company based in The Netherlands. To complement in-house skills, chemSIX works closely together with a network of outside REACH, industry and technology experts.

The company is led by Joost Dekker, who founded the company after a career as strategy consultant to the chemical industry. Mr. Dekker combines a chemical engineering degree from Delft University of Technology with an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM Erasmus).

chemSIX is supported by a network of partners and organizations including RABOBANK, LIOF, YesDelft and Syntens.

Software as a Service

chemSIX  provides its solution as a service. The benefits of such a hosted solution are:

  • Accessible anywhere/anytime using a normal web-browser
  • No need to invest in hardware/software
  • Always up to date application available. No maintenance required
  • Subscription fee for the duration of the project
